Agreement

By using Tonecast, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our service.

The Service

Tonecast is an AI writing assistant that generates social media drafts based on your voice profile. We provide:

  • AI-generated draft posts in your writing style
  • Tools to refine and polish your ideas
  • Voice profile learning from your feedback
  • Post analytics and engagement insights (Growth and Pro plans)

Your Account

  • You must provide accurate information when signing up
  • You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Tonecast
  • One account per person

Content Ownership

Your content: You own everything you input (sample posts, ideas, bio) and everything you publish using our generated drafts.

Generated drafts: Drafts we generate for you are yours to use, edit, and publish however you want. We don't claim ownership of generated content.

AI-Generated Content

Tonecast uses AI to generate draft content on your behalf. You should know:

  • AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate — always review before publishing
  • You are solely responsible for everything you publish, whether AI-generated or not
  • We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or suitability of any AI-generated content
  • AI models may produce different results for the same input — outputs are not deterministic

Third-Party Platforms

  • Publishing to X (Twitter) means you must comply with X's Terms of Service
  • We are not responsible if X suspends, restricts, or takes action against your account for any reason
  • X access is granted via OAuth — you can revoke it anytime from your X account settings
  • Payments are processed by Polar, subject to their terms and policies

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Tonecast to:

  • Generate spam, harassment, or hate speech
  • Impersonate others or spread misinformation
  • Violate any laws or third-party rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the service
  • Share your account with others

Payments & Refunds

  • Paid plans: Lite ($9/mo), Growth ($19/mo), and Pro ($49/mo), billed monthly
  • All plans include a 7-day free trial
  • Cancel anytime from Settings — access continues until the billing period ends
  • No refunds for partial months, but we may make exceptions

Disclaimers & Liability

  • Tonecast is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee uninterrupted service
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service
  • Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Tonecast harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, content you publish, or your violation of these terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account anytime from Settings.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the EU member state where Tonecast is established.

Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
